I have to admit, I think when it comes to B&S I've been a CCIE for a while. In my years of sporadic studying this has always been the first packet I'd start studying on, when beginning my "being serious this time" shtick. LOL.

I should be able to get through this in about two days, then allowing me to gear up for next lab IP services. My plan is to dedicate 5 hours a day of study on weekdays with about 8 hours a day on weekends. At that rate, I should be more than on my way. First 60 days, will be nothing but Vol1 labs over and over, keeping notes around trouble spots as I go. Second time around, Ill dedicate time to the mentioned problem areas before my actual 5 hours start.

If you're not already aware, I have a full CCIE rack at my home, so lack of studying on my behalf is pretty much blasphemy. If you're reading this and on the same journey, or even thinking about it, drop me a line in the comments. Its always good to hear others struggles along their journey.

Today is a day, I cant explain how bad I want to nail this thing. I'll probably buy six CCIE shirts embroidered with my number, wearing one each and everyday. Man I cant wait..I've got two friends who have already passed CCIE in security, John Stewart, Sidney Spencer- man these guys are good, gotta give them props, right now they're serving as my inspiration. I still remember the day, I got a call from each one of them "I Passed DUDE!"

CCIE LAB Attempt (round two) this time it's F--in personal...

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 200px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-y-I6QObsoqw/TYj5RvNl_2I/AAAAAAAAAF4/qBkvk-CCSEg/s320/Re-dedication.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5586989420879675234" />

It's been a while....I know, but I'm back now.

Surprisingly, my blog views have stayed pretty consistent. I decided to re-dedicate myself to obtaining my CCIE. Why? Not because I need the money. I'm doing it to prove something to myself. To prove that I can finally bring this chapter of my life to a close. The lack of of a CCIE has haunted me for almost four years now. The intermittent studying accompanied with the guilt of my peers rigorously staying fixated to their CCIE goals has riddled my psyche with angst anytime I'm NOT moving forward in my CCIE quest.

Secondly, I feel like I need to distinguish myself amongst my friends and peers. While CCIE is not my final destination, it's a means to get there faster. I feel like in life, it's imperative we push ourselves to limits, whether that be physically or mentally. After all, if we live this life coming up marginal in all that we do, what have we really accomplished?

Lastly, Id be remiss if I did mention, Ive fallen in love. Fallen in love with who you might ask? Well, her name is 5DmarkII and photography is her craft. I've taken up photography over the past year or so, and it has completely changed my life. So much so, that I now know one da, I want to become a full time photographer. Couple that love with a burning desire to eventually obtain a Masters in Electrical Engineering, and professionally I'd feel like I've arrived at my final destination.

The problem with all of this is that any moment I'm not studying, I feel guilty. I feel guilty that all of the hours spent and gear purchased were all in vain. I now know to truly enjoy the things I love so much, I need to rid myself of the mentioned guilt. Now don't get me wrong, I love engineering as well, but there's something about artistry that has always captured my attention. So I consider my plight "paying to play".

I've envisioned for many years the day I'd wear my CCIE polo into the office touting my CCIE number as a badge of honor, it's about time that dream comes to fruition. So for the world to read and witness(on this blog)here goes my long journey of emotional peeks and valleys, to obtain what most say is the most difficult exam in all of technology.

I hope you enjoy :)
